Agency Awarded Three Silver Awards for Maryland Science Center Campaign
BALTIMORE (June 8, 2009) – Carton Donofrio Partners, a full-service marketing communications agency, today announced that the firm received three silver ADDY Awards for its work for the Maryland Science Center. With over 60,000 entries annually, the ADDY Awards are the world’s largest advertising competition and celebrate the best creative work on a local, regional and national level.
Three of the integrated campaign’s radio spots, which incorporate quirky facts paired with the line “learn something new every day,” won recognition. The advertisements lean on funny points and kids’ outrageous behaviors to draw families to the center.
“We’re honored to receive these prestigious awards and I applaud everyone who contributed to the winning campaign,” said Chuck Donofrio, chief executive officer of Carton Donofrio Partners.
The Maryland Science Center campaign was also recognized at the Baltimore ADDY competition, held earlier this spring, where Carton Donofrio Partners received seven gold and 10 silver awards. At the regional level, the agency received three gold awards and one silver.
“Carton Donofrio Partners’ campaign has been well-received by the public and I’m delighted the agency’s hard work, creativity, and dedication has earned a national ADDY Award,” said Chris Cropper, senior director of marketing at the Science Center.
In addition to the ADDY Awards recognition, the radio portion of the campaign was selected as a finalist in the London International Advertising Awards, which acknowledges the best creative work produced by ad agencies around the globe.
